Ohio EPA to meet in Racine about AMP-Ohio plant
(WOUB) - The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is having a meeting in Racine this evening to talk about a proposed American Municipal Power-Ohio power plant.

Also to listen.

The EPA says it will take comments on proposed wetlands and water quality impacts related to the plant, which is supposed to be built in Letart Township in Meigs County.

AMP-Ohio is asking the EPA for approval of the project.

The plans include a wastewater treatment plant that would empty into the Ohio River and a landfill.

The EPA says it will consider the technical, economic, social and environmental aspects of the project before deciding to issue or deny a water quality certification.
