Krendl reports record number of enrollment applications
(2008-03-12)
(WOUB) - Ohio University Executive Vice President and Provost Kathy Krendl says the university has a record number of enrollment applications.

They are up 8 percent from last year at this time.

Krendl says this includes significant increases in non-resident and resident applications, a 19 percent increase in multicultural applications and an 89 percent increase in international applications.

Also, Krendl says compensation rankings are up for professors at OU as a result of an initiative to raise faculty salaries.

More than $1 million has been put into an effort to do better in comparison with peer institutions.
