Bill Clinton draws crowd of hundreds in Marietta
(2008-02-18)
(WOUB) - Former President Bill Clinton told voters
in blue-collar towns across Ohio yesterday that they have a clear choice for president in times of economic uncertainty.

Clinton sought to reframe the common contrasts between Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Rodham Clinton and
Barack Obama by telling voters she would bring about unity through better policies, not inspiration.

He spoke for more than an hour to a crowd of hundreds gathered at Marietta College, covering every major policy area in detail.

The Clintons hope the meat-and-potatoes policy details will appeal to lower and middle-income voters in Ohio.

The state joins Texas in holding a crucial primary on March 4.

Clinton also made campaign appearances in Columbus, Toledo, Canton and Steubenville.
