EPA loans Muskingum county money for faulty line
(WOUB) - The Ohio Enviromental Protection Agency is extending a helping hand to the Muskingum County Water District to replace a faulty water line.

The help comes in the form of a $660,000 loan.

During the past few years, the pipe that supplies raw water from the well field to the treatment plant has broken several times.

About 7,000 people depend on the Muskingum County district for their drinking water.

The low-interest EPA loan will save the district more than $235,000 in interest when compared to a market-rate loan.
