Fed Hock chips away at budget deficit
(WOUB) - Federal Hocking's budget problems are getting better.

Officials continue to chip away at a projected deficit.

The latest action came last night when the Fed Hock Board of Education approved amendments to a deficit reducation plan.

The amendments mean additional income of $29,000 and total savings of $279,000.

Elimination of two bus routes account for $90,000 of the savings.

Cutting a middle school-high school teacher is part of the deal, too.

The amendments now will be considered by an oversight committee, which meets on Friday.
