Five accused in Trimble armed robbery
(WOUB) - Athens County Municipal Magistrate Tom Korn set bond today for four people charged with robbing and beating an Athens County Woman.

Athens County Prosecutor Dave Warren calls it a drug deal gone bad.

Warren says 39-year-Harold Artis of Lancaster and 19-year-old Stanley Mason of Columbus beat 44-year-old Lori Boerstler with a baseball bat and stabbed her several times.

The crime happened at Boerstler's Trimble home early Sunday morning.

Warren says the incident involved prescription pain killers and that Boerstler had two thousand dollars in her possession.

As of this morning, Boerstler was reported to be hospitalized in serious condition.

Artis and Mason face two charges---felonious assault and aggravated robbery.

Judge Korn set bond for Mason at $375,00, but $600,000 for Artis...who is said to be the ringleader.

Warren says the three other people collaborated but probably stayed in the car during the robbery.

They are 19-year-old Josh Csaszer of Mount Gilead, 31 year old Holly Tschudy of Logan, and 17-year-old Michael May of Columbus.

Judge Korn set their bond at $300,000.

May has been charged in juvenile court.

The four adults will head back to court January 14th for their preliminary hearing.
