Consultants Brought In?
(WOUB) - Consultants may be brought in to help the Ohio University Board of Trustees evaluate the performance of the school's president at the end of this school year.

A five member board of trustees committee on presidential evaluation policy met Thursday in Pickerington.

The committee came up with a proposed evaluation policy to recommend to the full Board of Trustees.

Committee Chair Sandra Anderson says the policy includes bringing one or more consultants into the presidential review process.

She says she doesn't know how much the consultants will cost - but thinks their input will be important.

Anderson says the committee also is asking for more interviews to be conducted in the review process.. Including interviews with people outside the university such as alumni, community leaders and donors.

She says the committee looked at how other ohio schools were conducting their presidential evaluations - and included some of those practices in the new proposed policy.

The committee will submit its final report and proposed policy to the Board at its February meeting.
