Ohio University leads in license income
(2007-12-05)
(WOUB) - Ohio University says it led the state in licensing income in 2006 among public colleges and universities.
It cites a new survey from the Association of University Technology Managers.
According to the survey, OU reported $3.2 million in licensing income.
Ohio is followed by the University of Akron and Ohio State University.
OU says most of its money comes from a 1988 license for a discovery that led to the development of a drug for people with a form of gigantism.
OU is ranked 31st nationally among schools for total license income.
