Preparing men for fatherhood
(2007-11-12)
(WOUB) - Before soldiers can serve in the Army, they must first attend boot camp.

Now, in Zanesville, there is new type of boot camp -- one for future dads.

Burl Lemon is the executive director of the organization Forever Dads, which helped start Dads Boot Camp.

Lemon says the idea is to mentally prepare them for fatherhood.

The first program was held last weekend with about 15 men in attendance.

Lemon says the Boot Camp sessions provide soon-to-be fathers with advice on what will make them well-rounded parents.

Dads Boot Camp is held on the second Saturday of each month, and any dad, or soon to be dad, can attend as many meetings as they want.
