Rolling Hills School District Looking to Pass a New Tax Levy
(2007-11-02)
(WOUB) - The Rolling Hills School District in Guernsey County is trying to get voters to pass a levy next week - but it's not the kind of levy school districts typically seek.

The district is trying to pass a .75% INCOME tax levy - rather than a PROPERTY tax.

This is the first attempt to pass a levy after trying to pass a property tax two years ago.

Superintendent Gary Norris says the district will be in bad shape if the levy doesn't pass.

The levy is expected to generate about one million dollars per year.
