Pizza Recall
(2007-11-01)
(WOUB) - Three-point-three million pounds of frozen meat pizza products made in Jackson County are being recalled because they may be linked to an outbreak of E-coli in several states.

The pizzas are Totinos and Jenos brand and are made at the General Mills plant in Wellston.

The recall affects approximately 414,000 cases of pizza with pepperoni toppings.

The problem was discovered following an investigation carried out by the Tennessee Department of Health in coordination with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

21 people in 10 states have come down with illnesses related to E-coli.
