Strickland talks energy in Athens
(2007-09-20)
(WOUB) - Governor Ted Strickland was in Athens County yesterday to see what it's like to live in a house completely powered by alternative energy.

The governor visited the Millfield home of Jeff and Michelle Greenfield, who founded Third-Sun Renewable Energy Systems.

After they received a grant from the state to build a solar system, they began helping others to make their homes more energy efficient.

Strickland has a new energy plan.

He wants 25 percent of the power produced in Ohio to come from new energy sources by 2025.

Another goal of the plan is to regulate energy prices in Ohio.
