Athens County coach goes to court
(2007-09-04)
(WOUB) - ALBANY, Ohio (AP) - A girls high school volleyball coach has been granted a restraining order against the
district's middle school coach after controversy over cuts on the
team became violent.

Alexander high school coach Bradd Jeffers says middle school
coach Donald Lee threw volleyballs at him during practice, followed
him to his car and threatened him.

Lee could not be reached for comment.

According to court documents, the two men fought after Lee's
cuts to the eighth-grade girls team angered some parents.

A judge granted the restraining order last week and Lee
resigned as coach.

Under the order, Lee can't approach or contact Jeffers for five
years.
