An escaped prisoner on the loose in Jackson County
(WOUB) - Jackson County authorities are looking for a potentially dangerous escaped prisoner.

Wellston Police Chief John Hall says Russell Mandeville escaped from police after appearing in Municipal Court yesterday (Wednesday) around 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon.
Hall says Mandeville's hands were handcuffed to a brown leather belt at the time of his escape.

Mandeville is approximately six-feet two inches tall, weighing about 190 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Hall says he has a history of assaults, including on police officers and carrying concealed weapons.

If anyone sees Mandeville, Hall asks them to not approach him and to contact their local police department.
