Ohio students turn in $2,200 handed from man on street
(2007-07-27)
(WOUB) - Four Ohio University students who were
handed $2,200 by a stranger on the street turned the money into local police.

The students, current and former Ohio University football players, received the money from a man they encountered along the main drag in Athens.

The man handed out the money Wednesday along with a stack of football schedules and bank brochures.

Police who talked to the 44 year old man say they're not sure where the money came from but think it may have been a cash advance on his credit card.

Police suspect the man gave even more money away but say it's hard to know since very few people would turn money in.
