Police officers run with Special Olympics torch
(WOUB) - Ohio law enforcement officers are on the run to set the stage for this weekend's Special Olympics Ohio Summer Games.

Police officers have divided the state into four regions and are running with a torch in each one.

The relay will wrap up tomorrow evening with a final leg from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy in Columbus to Jessie Owens Memorial Stadium at Ohio State University, where the Special Olympics will take place.

The patrol says this year's torch run is being dedicated to Nathan Van Oort, an Ohio University police officer who was critically injured when he was struck by lightning during a portion of last year's run from Athens.
