Strickland to announce additional data on stolen computer tape
(WOUB) - Governor Strickland will hold a news conference this afternoon to announce additional data that was contained on a backup computer tape stolen from the car of an intern.

Strickland has already said the tape contains names and Social Security numbers of all state employees and roughly 75,000 dependents. It also includes information about people enrolled in the state's pharmacy benefits program, and bank account information for the state's school districts.

Strickland has maintained he does not believe the information has been breached because doing so would require specific hardware, software and expertise.

The backup tape was stolen out of an intern's car on June 10th.
