Doctor pleads guilty to a federal conspiracy charge
(WOUB) - A Wood County doctor accused of trading prescription drugs for sex has pleaded guilty to a federal conspiracy charge.

Prosecutors say Donald R. Kiser of Parkersburg prescribed thousands of pills without a legitimate medical reason.

The 49 year old osteopath pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. Also yesterday, Kiser's wife, 31 year old Etta Lea Blankenship- Kiser, and 36 year old Arlene A. Gartin each pleaded to guilty to obtaining drugs by fraud with the help of others.
