McDavis addresses media after student no confidence vote
(2007-05-24)
(WOUB) - Ohio University's president addressed the media for the first time yesterday since students gave him a vote of "no confidence" last week.

Students voted by a 3-1 ratio against McDavis on the Student Senate ballot.

McDavis says he is open to the criticism and the voices of the students. He pointed out that only 22 percent of the student body voted, so most of the student body did not register an opinion.

"I get up every day excited about the future," said McDavis. "It is not in my nature to fear anything, so I'm looking forward to the future, certainly respect whatever feedback there might be, but I'm excited about the future."

Students critical of the McDavis administration claim it does not seek their opinions on campus policies.
