OU censures business professor
(2007-05-24)
(WOUB) - An Ohio University professor has been censured for retaliating against students.

According to a university press release, Provost Kathy Krendl formally accepted disciplinary recommendations against Ashok Gupta from the College of Business professional ethics committee.

Censure is the strongest penalty an OU internal ethics committee can recommend.

Gupta was accused of deliberately withholding grades from students in 2002, in retaliation for a dispute over his personal compensation.

He was also found in violation of a second charge, which accused him of sending anonymous emails to faculty.
