Athens Councilwoman loses her seat in primary
(WOUB) - An Incumbent At-Large Athens City Councilwoman loses her seat in the Democratic Primary.

Carol Patterson got 817 votes or 21% of the vote in her losing bid.

Incumbents Amy Flowers and Jim Sands got 27% and 26% of the vote repsectively.

Doctoral student Elahu Gosney also advanced to the November election with 25%of the vote.

In the first ward race Democrat Kent Butler beat Nick Budich with 60% of the vote.
