Ohio gas prices climb higher
(2007-05-04)
(WOUB) - If you thought Ohio gasoline prices were high enough yesterday, you may not want to look next time you pass a service station.

Prices jumped in the last 24 hours, pushing the statewide average cost of regular above the three-dollar mark, according to AAA. The auto club now has a gallon of regular averaging $3.04 in Ohio, up six cents from yesterday.

Motorists are paying the most in Toledo, where the average is $3.08.

Miami University economics department chairman George Davis says as the summer driving season gets closer, the cost of gas could go up another 25 to 30 cents a gallon. He says a hurricane or international crisis could push prices even higher.
