Senior faculty call for changes in OU administration
(WOUB) - Senior faculty members at Ohio University have sent a letter to the university Board of Trustees asking for sweeping changes in the school's current administration.

The letter says that the school has suffered drop in "reputation, quality of students and it's ability to meet its academic obligations" during the tenure of President Roderick McDavis. It also says that student retention rates have continued to decline under McDavis' watch.

The letter says the University's reputation has suffered in recent years from national news stories reporting computer data theft, plagiarism, and the arrests of football players and coaches.

The letter did acknowledge McDavis' efforts to crack down on the campus drinking.

The letter concludes that McDavis is a man of integrity, but that a change in the leadership and direction of the University must be seriously considered.

The unsigned letter was released by OU this morning.
