Deer warnings for drivers in warm weather months too
(2007-05-02)
(WOUB) - Motorists in southeast Ohio are well aware of warnings from the Ohio Division of Wildlife about being careful in the fall when it's mating season for deer. Now, the Division is advising caution in May and June, too.

Those months are the birthing season for deer, which causes them to disperse more frequently. This means deer will be crossing roadways more often.

Some ways drivers can stay safe are by paying attention to deer crossing signs, slowing down if they see a deer, and not swerving to avoid striking a deer.
