Bond set in stabbing of Hocking College student
(WOUB) - Bond for a Hocking College student accused of fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend is set at $500,000.

Twenty-one-year-old Ronald Hendrickson II of Dayton made his initial appearance today in Athens County Municipal Court on murder charges.

If bond is posted, Hendrickson must live at home in Dayton with his parents and cannot travel outside of Ohio.

Athens County Prosecutor Dave Warren requested sealing the search warrant to prevent the media from reporting on things that might influence possible jury members, but the judge denied the request.

Police say Hendrickson stabbed and killed 21-year-old Jodi Marie Blankenship last week during a fight in the Nelsonville house the two shared with three other Hocking College students.

Warren says Hendrickson was also stabbed and he was treated for wounds at a Columbus hospital.

Hendrickson reportedly told the police that Blankenship attacked him first, but Warren would not comment on that.
