Newspaper report says Nelsonville bypass project could be back on track
(WOUB) - The U.S. Route 33 Nelsonville bypass project could be built using the original timetable.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, the transportation budget just passed by the General Assembly gives higher ranked projects like Nelsonville priority over lower ranked projects.

The governor has yet to sign or veto the rewritten, $7.8 billion budget.

The Ohio Department of Transportation originally wanted the nine-mile, $164 million project completed in 2011.

However, the Transportation Review Advisory Council recommended in December to that until 2016 or later, because of funding problems.
