New Lexington police treating infant death as 'suspicious' case
(WOUB) - Roughly a week before a Perry County baby died, Children's Services was called to investigate the baby's circumstances. That's according to New Lexington Police Chief Jeffrey Newlon.

Seven-month-old Aden Levering-Ruff died Tuesday.

Newlon says Children's Services investigated an incident with the baby about a week before Levering-Ruff died, and investigators had a doctor examine the baby. He says the doctor found no signs of trouble with the child.

Police are waiting for autopsy results to determine how Levering-Ruff died.

Newlon says the police department is currently treating the case as a "suspicious death."
