Police credit onlookers in capture of handcuffed man
(WOUB) - Chillicothe police say a couple of passers-by helped them nab a man seen fleeing from court in handcuffs yesterday.

Twenty-three-year-old Peter Ziskowski of Cincinnati says he decided to start chasing when he saw a police officer slip and fall while pursuing the man. Seventeen-year-old Justin Lynch of Chillicothe says he also began running when he saw the officer go down.

The two say a driver used his pickup truck to help them corner the man in an alley until police arrived.

Police say Robert Wright had run from Chillicothe Municipal Court after being detained on a misdemeanor warrant when he appeared for a hearing on another matter. He was taken to the Ross County Jail.
