Voinovich announces Hocking College grant
(2007-03-22)
(WOUB) - Hocking College is getting more than $1.6 million from the U.S. Department of Commerce to build an alternative fuel training and educational facility in Logan.

The new facility will be called the Hocking College Energy Institute and will be located near the Logan-Hocking Industrial Park.

It will house training, testing and development of high-tech fuel cell and alternative energy methods.

U.S. Senator George Voinovich helped secure funding for the project from the Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration.

In a press release from his office, Voinovich says the new facility is expected to create 90 jobs and generate private investment in excess of $3.4 million.
