EPA charges two in Jackson with false water treatment records
(2007-03-22)
(WOUB) - Two former water treatment employees of the City of Jackson are accused of falsifying Ohio Environmental Protection Agency records.

The EPA says James Norris and Revis Osborne allowed untreated or partially treated water to enter Salt Lick Creek from 1999 to 2004 and lied about it.

The EPA says in doing so, both Norris and Osborne put the public at risk.

Norris was the director of Jackson's water treatment plant. Osborne was responsible for operating a water treatment bypass.

The EPA has revoked their wastewater treatment certificates.
