Teen faces 128 charges; prosecutor surprised by number
(WOUB) - A 13 year old southeast Ohio boy is charged in juvenile court with 128 felonies in what police are calling a crime spree targeting homes and businesses.

The boy, who's from Nelsonville, is being held in juvenile detention on delinquency counts of burglary, theft, vandalism and witness intimidation.

Authorities accuse the boy of breaking into homes and businesses, and beating one of the witnesses who turned him.

The Athens County prosecutor says he's never encountered a juvenile facing so many charges at such a young age. The prosecutor says he plans to proceed with all the cases in hopes of getting restitution for victims.
