New OU technology chief says problems won't be repeated
(WOUB) - The new technology chief at Ohio University is promising to continue to improve computer security.

Brice Bible is taking over next month as OU's chief information officer. The position opened last year after the university discovered that electronic break ins had exposed 173,000 files containing Social Security numbers, names, medical records and home addresses.

Bible says the university is committed to making sure hackers don't succeed again.

The university introduced Bible yesterday. He's currently an assistant vice president for information technology at the University of Tennessee. At OU, he'll report to President Roderick McDavis.

OU's previous chief information officer resigned after the computer breaches.
