Anti-freeze and engine coolant may have a new bitter taste
(WOUB) - It may sound strange, but if 22 state legislators get their way, anti-freeze and engine coolant sold in Ohio will soon be required to have a new bitter taste.

State Representative Michael Skindell is leading the charge. He says some brands of the automotive liquids taste and smell sweet, and that has led to some children and pets drinking the poisonous stuff.

Skindell even points to incidents in Ohio.

The proposal to make sure that anti-freeze and engine coolant sold in Ohio has a bitter taste is set for a hearing Wednesday in the House Environment Committee.
