ATCO board to discuss involvement of former Passion Works director
(2007-01-20)
(WOUB) - Passion Works, an art studio for mentally disabled people is getting new leadership. This comes after the previous director's contract was not renewed.

But Patty Mitchell is keeping busy. She's been helping studios around the world set up similar programs.

It could be a desire to "go global" that caused problems between her and the ATCO Sheltered Workshop board that governs Passion Works.

ATCO Board president David Shull says they were going in different directions. And another source says Mitchell was spending more and more time outside of Athens and "outgrew" Passionworks.

Mitchell says she'd like to stay involved on a project-by-project basis with Passion Works.

The ATCO board meets Wednesday to discuss exactly what her involvement will be.
