Michael Allen Going Pro ATHENS, OH (WOUB) - One week after former teammate Jerome Tillman signed a contract to play professional basketball in France, Michael Allen will be heading to Europe to play professionally in the German Pro-A League.
Allen agreed to terms with the BV Chemnitz 99 club and becomes the 42nd Bobcat to sign a contract to play overseas.
An honorable mention in All-Mid-American Conference last season, Allen led the entire conference in assists per game at 4.31.
The Detroit native also led the MAC in assist-to-turnover ratio becoming the first player to lead the conference in both categories since the 2002-2003 season.
Allen's 138 assists last season is the 10th most ever recorded by a Bobcat in single-season history. © Copyright 2012, WOUB
