(2011-01-14)
(WOUB) - The men known as the "detroit five" will be sentenced in Scioto County today.

The men were originally indicted October 25th on charges stemming from a drug raid at a Portsmouth home.

The home was located a block from the Scioto County Courthouse on 6th Street and was near Scuddder school.

Investigators say they found more than 1800 oxycodone tablets, as well as nearly 17-thousand dollars cash.

Daniel Pippen, Maurice Williams, Tyrone Dixon, Eric Durr, and Evan Jamar Howard, who have all had previous charges against them, were found guilty yesterday of all 40 counts against them.

They each faced 8 counts of trafficking in oxycodone, heroin and marijuana.

Each man was convicted as a major drug offender - which carries an additional 10 year sentence.

The men will be sentenced today at 2:00 PM.
