H1N1 vaccine for Athens students
(2009-11-19)
(WOUB) - The Athens City School District is making plans to administer H1N1 vaccine to more students and teachers.

The latest clinic was supposed to be held yesterday at The Plains Elementary School.

The next clinic is scheduled for tomorrow at Morrison Elementary.

A memo from School Nurse Janalee Stock says the clinics at Chauncey Elementary and East Elementary previously "ran very smoothly."

Stock says the Health Department is getting shipments of vaccine on a weekly basis and being able to follow through on the school district's plan is dependent on the amount of vaccine received.

The memo includes this -- "It is imperative that parents CALL the school and ask that their child's inform consent be removed if they decide they do not want the vaccine after all."
