Adena Society takes control COLUMBUS, OH (WOUB) -
Hit by budget cuts, the Ohio Historical Society says it has entered into management agreements for four historic sites, including Adena Mansion and Gardens and Story Mound in Chillicothe.

The sites will be managed by the Adena Mansion and Gardens Society.

Currently, 43 of the Historical Society's 58 historic sites and museums are operated through management agreements between the historical society and a local organization or government entity.

Daily operations are performed by the local group while the historical society provides a subsidy and support services.
