Arrest made in Carter County double murder ASHLAND, KY (WOUB) - One arrest has been made in connection with Monday's double murder in Carter County, Kentucky.

Troopers say 33-year-old David Caudill was found driving the vehicle of Virginia Massard -- one of the people murdered.

Caudill has been charged with receiving stolen property, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and operating on a suspended license.

He is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and for being a persistent felony offender.

Forty-nine-year-old Virginia Massard and 27-year-old Joseph Cox were found inside a home in Mocabee Creek Monday morning.

And another person was found dead in a home in Carter County, Kentucky, Monday.

Officials say 51-year-old Calvin Fannin died of apparent gunshot wounds.
