Ohio panel aims to create jobs through green movement
(2010-03-11)
(WOUB) - Clean energy, energy efficiency, environmentally friendly.

These are what the green movement is all about.

Taking the concept and creating jobs is what the Ohio Green Pathways Advisory Panel is all about.

And Hocking College's Jerry Hutton is on that panel.

"We have to unbundle and rebundle these new jobs in this new manufacturing in green energy," Hutton says.

Hutton is the director of the Energy Institute at Hocking College, and one of 20 members of the Green Pathways Advisory Panel, which was created by the University System of Ohio.

"We've had two meetings to collaborate and look at a pathway, a strategy within the state, so we can give a recommendation from the panel," he says.

Hutton was a guest on Newswatch on WOUB-TV last night.

Ohio's Strategic Plan for Higher Education calls for helping business find quality employees and attracting businesses to the state.
