OU College Democrats Investigation ATHENS, OH (WOUB) - The chairman of the Athens County Republican Party is asking for an investigation of how election workers were compensated.

Pete Couladis says the Ohio University College Democrats group sent an e-mail promising $5 to students working the election in Athens' 4th ward.

Couladis says he wants investigations by the Athens County Board of Election and County Prosecuting Attorney Dave Warren.

He says if money was paid or offered improperly, the group would be in violation of Ohio's election laws.

The 4th Ward had the only contested race for Athens City Council.
