PRI's The World - Geo Quiz Podcast 282
Arctic Mush

We're searching for an island in the northern reaches of the Canadian Arctic. The mostly frozen island is part of the territory of Nunavut. It's sunny outside today ...but its down around minus 18 degrees. Vikings once ventured here to hunt ... later in the 18th and 19th centuries, polar expeditions came this way. Scientists are monitoring the island's glacial ice shelves to track climate change. We'll go there by dogsled, when we give you the answer.

The World's Geo Quiz tests your knowledge of world geography, and introduces you to fascinating people and places around the globe. The World is a US-based international news and analysis program co-produced by the BBC World Service, Public Radio International, and WGBH Boston.
