Hurricane force winds ripped through Central Ohio Sunday. Power outages this morning are widespread forcing cancellation of classes for most school districts in Franklin County. Teays Valley schools are on a two-hour delay.....the following schools are closed. Columbus City Schools

At Ohio Dominican University, Morning classes are canceled.
The Ohio State University Child Care Center at Buckeye Village are both closed.
Three deaths are blamed on Sunday's high winds. Trees toppled on two motorcyclists at Hueston Woods State Park and a woman was killed in Mount Healthy when a large tree fell on her house. The National Weather service reports wind gusts in some areas in excess of 74 miles per hour...or hurricane force.
American Electric Power crews worked through the night. The utility says it could be several days to as long as a week before all power is restored. Duke Energy spokeswoman Kathy Meinke says it's the worst outage in the company's history, and it could take a week to restore power to some of the hardest-hit areas in southwest Ohio.
