A little more than 40% have a favorable view of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, while 36% say they don't know enough about her.

A new poll has Barack Obama edging ahead of Republican rival John McCain in Ohio. The Quinnipiac University survey of nearly 1,400 likely Ohio voters shows 49% support Democrat Obama, 44% are for McCain. In a similar poll last month, the two presidential candidates were about even.The new poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2.7%.
