GOP Governor From Minnesota Campaigns In Ohio.

COLUMBUS, OH (wosu) - Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, mentioned often as a possible running mate for John McCain, is campaigning for the Republican in Ohio.

Pawlenty spoke Monday at a Columbus company that makes acrylic sheet products. He did not address speculation regarding McCain's vice presidential pick, but told a group of business leaders that Democrat Barack Obama's tax plan would be bad for their businesses.

Pawlenty also plans stops in Canton, Richfield and Akron.

McCain advisers say the Arizona Republican plans to stay close to home this week and finish picking a running mate. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is another possible candidate.
