Police: 3 family members found dead in murder-suicide
Fairfield County sheriff's Lieutenant Gary Kennedy says a relative from the Cleveland area became worried when his telephone
calls went unanswered.
He phoned police who went to the home near Pickerington at about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Kennedy says deputies forced their way inside the home when they saw the body of 45-year-old Sara Garten on the kitchen floor.
The bodies of 43-year-old Robert Garten and his stepdaughter, 15-year-old Valorie McCrerey, were found in bedrooms.
Kennedy says Garten shot his wife and stepdaughter and then shot himself.
He says there were no records of domestic violence calls to the home.
