Ohio Lottery Reports Problems With New Vendor
Lottery spokeswoman Marie Kilbane says the problems were being worked out.
To make the switch, online lottery games were unavailable from late yesterday until 6 a.m. today.
Kilbane says 7,920 of the state's 8,800 retailers had logged on by mid-afternoon. A hot line run by the new company had received 2,300 calls by then.
The Ohio Lottery decided last year to change its operator to Athens, Greece-based Intralot S.A. The former operator sued, arguing that Intralot had no experience operating a large state lottery.
