It was a 14 year journey which entailed playing 12 miles of printed music, between 9 and 10 million notes. This endeavor put him into the Guinness Book of World Records. As a follow up, he recorded all of Beethoven's piano music, including a 2 piano reduction of his 9th Symphony. Boyce Lancaster spoke with Howard about this Herculean undertaking.
