New Yorker Cartoonist Draws Inspiration from Thurber A Michael Shaw Cartoon The New Yorker
A new exhibit at the Thurber House displays some rarely seen cartoons created by the celebrated author and cartoonist. On display are Thurber’s cartoons which illustrate Thurber’s favorite themes of anti-social behavior and the constant search for domestic bliss between men and women. Many of James Thurber’s cartoons appeared in the New Yorker magazine and a current New Yorker cartoonist Michael Shaw credits Thurber with launching his career.
