Matty Dread is your host on the Soul Funky Train, every Sunday night at midnight and on into the little hours of Monday morning. For over three years Matty has been treating WOMR listeners to the best soul, funk, r'n'b, and jazz tracks from the 50s to the latest releases. By searching literally and metaphorically through the dust bins of a variety of sources, Matty is able to share nuggets that may have been neglected over the years, in addition to playing the true classics of the genre. An ironic sense of humor and a subversive taste for the campy keep the show moving to an iconoclastic beat. Strange things sometimes happen in the middle of the night ¿ don't miss the train.
